New TCM Meds, Good and Bad - Mostly Good

Oban's Vet gave us a new (actually we'd been on it three years ago) Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herb preparation to try to help his sore elbow. It looked to be a good change right away but we were still overlapping with the old ones so withheld judgement till he'd been on the new ones for a week or so. OH and I were really impressed, his sore leg just got better and better. We even swore we saw reduced swelling at the elbow and in the right foot. The right foot is taking the brunt of his sore elbow and several years old Xrays showed a small broken bone, now healed, and lots of arthritis and soft tissue swelling in it too. Both left elbow and right foot were markedly better, Oban was more bouncy and wanting to play, even Poppa Bear got more workouts.

Till he heard a favourite person in our backyard, tore down the stairs, slipped and skidded around a corner, charged out and down the deck stairs to his friend for pets. A couple of hours later he could barely stand on the sore elbow. BUT, very short walks, interrupted only by a short set back after meeting two GR friends we haven't seen for a while, and he's much recovered in quite a short time.

So of course the good is these meds, Free The Sinews, seem to be really helping his joints but the bad news is he feels so good he wants to go crazy wild. Especially since we have snow. Heck, we just came from the Vet and his prostate is smaller too. She was going to try him on new meds to help the pain in his elbow and foot and speed recovery but decided I should try simply upping his dosage of FTS on days he hurts more. We will see how that goes but in the meantime I'm really happy for Mr. Oban. My baby boy. Who turned 11 last month.

@Jollymolly, This is what we got. There probably is a very similar formula for human use. I'm really impressed.

Right on Oban and Showshoe! We love the natural approach, especially when it works! And Oban, easy does it, you're not a youngster any more.
