No, C'mon, We're Going Home Now.

You people with dogs who don't like to walk in the rain, I envied you this morning. Cold, I love cold weather. Rain is nice too. But this was raw, sleety, snowy, wet pellets with a wind. And two dogs, my sister's dog is here while Sis is on vacation, two dogs who looked at me like I was nuts to turn and go home before our usual spot. It took a bit of me dancing around and making myself look like I was fun to be with to convince them to come with me and go back home.

Sophie wants no part of being out in the rain, Brooks could care less. Opposite ends of the spectrum!

Kimber's preferred weather was about 40, raining, with enough of a wind to ice her coat. The more miserable we were, the happier she seemed to be.

Stormy, so far, has not liked the rain. Saturday it poured for 8 hours straight and I had the toughest time getting her to potty outside. All she wanted to do was get back in the house. I finally got her to eliminate by letting her huddle under the eave of the house, but she did have one or two accidents in the house because she ran and hid to pee rather than going towards the door like she normally does. She's still a baby though so she has time to learn to love the rain.

My Cassie is better than my prior Chocolate who wouldn't go to bed without a walk and the worse the weather the farther she wanted to walk. We walked through blizzards! Cassie will push to go for a walk but if it is windy and the rain is blowing sideways she will turn at the first shortcut home and look back at me as if to say .... Had enough?

I've found that all of my dogs did not want to go out in rain and wind unless I went with them. No quick out to potty and back in. The colder, wetter, more wind the longer they wanted to walk. Just have to grin and bear it.

Gabe does NOT like to be wet, period!! When it is raining and he needs to go out, I put his lease on and open the door, I go out first and he just stands in the doorway with his head down. I have to pull him out to go, then right back in and he rolls on the carpet to dry off.
