I'm so sorry.
Rest in Peace, sweet Rico.
It's with a heavy heart yesterday I had to put down my heart dog Rico. He was in advanced kidney failure and I could tell that he just wasn't feeling well anymore. He was 15 1/2 which is pretty good for a Sheltie. He was my first puppy I bought on my own I trained him myself and he was my best friend for all those years. He was loyal everyone was his friend and I would tease and say he had more of a lab personality than a Sheltie which are normally reserved with strangers but not Rico. He would come running tail wagging. He also loved being mama to my bottle kittens he would go crazy when I would bring a carrier home and he would dance until I took the kittens out he would lay and lick them and let them crawl all over him and burrow in his fur. The house feels so empty now even with 7 other dogs.

Rest in Peace, sweet Rico.
Rico sounds like a real sweetheart. The thought of him letting baby kittens crawl around on him sounds so sweet. So sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry. Do you have any photos of him with kittens? What a lovely memory, of so many you must have.
