Really not sure what I’ll do yet.
breed this coming year and I can get a puppy? haha kidding.

Not sure why anyone would put you on the "ignore list" based on what I've read. Moderate lines, yellow or choc, what else?

Very few things set me off w/ puppy inquirers, but I did just place one in that category this morning! Usually it's in regard to price or breeding rights/ full registration... things like that from complete strangers.

I've had some well meaning folks also want to dictate special diet or such for their future puppy too... oh some even dictate what "shade" of color pup they will accept (yet ignore that temperament & energy level are likely much more important considerations for their family).

No,seriously, I can't imagine you have reached that point. Hang in there. Anne

      thanks!

Being black listed for asking too many questions (taking their time) to too many of them? Many were put off by the size thing. one said their 76 pound female had great performance titles and stamina. Some saying they didn't breed "for size". Or that "weight cannot be predicted" (which, i get!). some were understanding and simply said overall their girls tend to be 70+. I think only one said for sure, her females were as per standing and in the 60 pound range (she does conformation and said her pups tend to be very cookie cuter and predictable). Those not bothered by size seemed to be the field lines but they don't do heart clearance and i am concerned about their dogs having too much drive.

There was one scenario where i very nearly bought a returned puppy (she was...13 weeks?) I had some concerns but said yes but then found out she hadn't seen a vet at all yet. I was too anxious after that and politely (i hope) bowed out (I said that at the last minute i wasn't ready for a dog - after having asked tons of questions and my parents had visited).

It's hard as I can't always find all the info I need before contacting breeders. To me the specific litter (including stud) matters. and all titles (heart not always listed, sometimes because it's not done, but sometimes it IS done just not listed) even with OFA and K9data. Or how big their lines tend to run.

but at this point i don't even know where to look :P other than waiting for my US kennels (OR waiting to see if things pan out with local breeders).

If all else fails, there is a possible litter of field goldens i could be interested in fall 2019. but the cancer in goldens is a tad offputting.
