    Another year

Last night as I was getting dinner, the same thing I was preparing the year before (tradition) my husband and I started remembering last Christmas Eve. As I was getting dinner the young man who hit Elle came to the door. I then spent the rest of Christmas Eve in the emergency vet's waiting for the grim news. Boxing day was surgery day and the following six months were recuperation and therapy. This Christmas Eve the dogs did not get to go out without me. After everyone's dinner I took them all including Luna for a walk. Elle was roaring around in the snow chasing the others, jumping up and down, a healthy, energetic 18 month old. I can not get over how well she has recovered and all the success she has had this past Fall. I feel blessed.

To all those who lost a beloved companion this last year I sent my sincerest condolences. They are never with us long enough. As my friend used to say bury them in your heart and you will always carry them with you.

To all those that got new additions to your families. Enjoy the journey. Puppies have to be the most wonderful thing on earth, especially Labrador puppies. Keep telling us about their exploits and the new things they learn so we can enjoy the journey with you.

Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year.
