Did they give him a walloping big a$$ed dose of steroids to put his immune system back to "chill-out"? In any event, I sure hope he's doing better. So sorry for all of you going through this.

Update Rechecked his PCV yesterday it was 15 up from 13 Thursday so it's going the right direction!!! He seems perky today yesterday he had a bad day he was so nauseous bc of the new med. So now he's not interested in eating again but I finally got him to eat fancy feast cat food for now. Tomorrow we see the internal medicine Dr

We saw the internal medicine Dr yesterday and he's cautiously optimistic that Benelli will pull thru this!!. His platelets were over 200000 yesterday the day I brought him in his platelets read 4 and last week they were up to 47. His PCV is still holding at 15 but his blood work shows now that his bone marrow is making new cells so it just may take awhile for the meds to work. He's in high dose of pred and 2 immue suppressants. He's def acting more like himself and finally started eating well. He was on Victor but he needs something low fat so I got him Fromms weight management food I'm mixing that with some beef heart and eggs and a multivitamin. Unfortunately I can't foster for awhile intil is immune level is ok. I don't need to bring something in to cause more issues. I'm kinda enjoying just my dogs after having foster after foster since April.
