I know, right? I can brush, brush, brush Lark, vacuum and by the next day, black hair all over the kitchen floor again. I think the 2 dogs play fighting, they must pull each other's hair out.
A few months ago we went from old carpet in the house to tile. I love the change, but the light grey tile certainly makes me more aware of dog hair. My main thought while sweeping up is - how is this dog not bald? It's almost impressive how much hair one Lab generates in one week..

LOL! At the kennel I've definitely noticed over the years that labs shed more than almost every breed except shepherds.

I have the same thought every time I vacuum!
So agree! Often wondered what the heck I could invent to use up all that fur. There's got to be "gold", black and chocolate in them hills.

One thing I've found that goes a long way to lessening the fur on the floor (and furniture) is to brush every morning....it's part of our after-breakfast ritual. I use a rubber-tipped slicker to back-brush (the dogs aren't thrilled but this snags tons of loose undercoat) and then use a soft slicker to brush in the direction their hair grows. Amazing what comes off each and every day. A Zoom Groom would work well, too, for that first step.
My car looks like a fur coat at times lol. It is crazy how much they shed
What makes it even more ridiculous in our case, is that Sprockette doesn't have a proper Lab coat. It's a double coat but thinner than standard.
We just got a Eufy, which is a roomba competitor, five days in and I am very happy with it. It runs each morning at 9am for 1-2 hours. It's not that smart or efficient, just bumps around persistently. And it's certainly not a good thorough vacuum replacement. But it takes away that every. single. day. feeling. of sitting and looking at how much dog hair there is even though you just vacuumed 1-2 days before (or maybe even that same day sadly).
