    Ruger is growing

Shared album - Robin Imbody - Google Photos

He's 19 weeks old as of yesterday and all legs. My guess is he's lab, pointer and coonhound two of his litter mates we're black and tan one actually looked like a rott and the other looked like a coon hound so he could have either or both. He's so smart and we just started puppy class Monday.

He's awesome in his crate and is doing well with house breaking occasionally he will still have an accident but they are getting farther apart. He does test my patience tho lol never had a dog chew furniture so that's a first for me. He's so lovey tho and he's lucky he's cute bc some days I want to send him back lol.

Wow, he is growing quickly! Interesting that some of his litter mates looked so different since he does look to have a lot of lab in there. Our very first pups liked to "taste" the furniture. Fortunately it was when we were first married and most of our furniture was old hand-me-down stuff and the gnawings just added some character. It's true how a great personality can make up for a lot of undesirable behavior!

awww Ruger is so cute! He does have some long legs that is for sure kinda cool about some of his litter mates

My Bailey is the one that chewed on furniture so i feel your pain there. He eventually stopped as he matured.

He looks handsome and big how much does he weigh. Oh cute gets a dog a long way. lol I had a dog that destroyed two leather couches. I was at my wits end. It was separation anxiety I finally got it to stop.

I see the coonhound in those long sturdy legs and streamlined build...what a handsome pup he is.

Sunnie's puppies tended to take after their sire, obviously: two her coloring and three white/brown or tri mix; four with floppy bigger ears (Dan with smaller ones shaped like hers); four with houndy boxed-off muzzles and snipey Dan; four with houndlike coats and Dan with his longer fuzzy stuff. And Dan was the only truly mellow one (and least likely to annoy Sunnie since she seemed to want to be an only dog). (Per the DNA test, Husky and Aussie are strong in both of them, stronger in Dan...I'll bet the other pups would have higher percentages of the hounds that showed up lower in Dan's test.)

Mutts are interesting. (I use that term lovingly.)

I would go with the siblings. Our Zo's littermates mostly looked either exactly like Australian Shepherds or like Rotts and we knew that those were the parents. That's a pretty good tell.

Ruger is a very handsome boy. Gorgeous coat.
