Poor Baby....sending lots of healing prayers for Timber.
These fatty tumors are common in Seniors...hoping it's benign and all good.

Even fatty lumps can cause issues and if that's the case they need to go.
Mojo sent for good results.

Thanks to everyone for sending Timber the mojo! He went on Tuesday and had the punch biopsy and x ray done. The surgeon said the xray was clear.
Good news there-but will find out the biopsy results on Friday. The anesthesia really knocked him out- he looked so sad yesterday.
I think this has to be removed regardless- if its malignant..I guess its much more involved when removing it. His bum is so sore! Poor guy!
Ill post back on Friday.
I'm sorry I missed this. All good thoughts for your boy.
Glad to hear the x-rays are clear. I hope the biopsy is likewise benign and that the growth can be removed without too much ill-effect. Poor guy. It's a real pain in the butt, isn't it, Timber?
Hope the biopsy results come back clean and Timber is feeling better soon. Hopefully the surgery to remove will give him immediate relief.
Hi everyone! Well we have great news and not so great news. The lump is just a fatty tumor and isn't cancer! I was so relieved, but I cant enjoy that yet because on Thursday night he stopped eating his kibble and turns away at all other food. He also keeps asking to go outside, strains to go and almost nothing comes out. Then he just lays in the backyard and I have to go get him and bring him in with a leash. The surgeon will remove the lump-but he is now on vacation and can't take him until Feb. 19th! I'm at a loss- if anyone has any advice or has gone through something similiar, please comment.
I spoke to our regular vet today. She said the biopsy and xray shouldnt have caused this problem. If nothing improves- we will go to our vet on Monday.
So sad....
Could it be a UTI?
Or possibly stones in his bladder....this could cause him to strain and not pee.
Sending more mojo. I hope he is improving.

I'm sorry. I know it's going to feel like a long weekend. Putting a little warm chicken broth or something on his food doesn't help? Cheeseburgers from McDonald's? Do they make stool softeners for dogs? Maybe not being able to poop is making him lose his appetite. I hope things improve.
