    Hanson is huge

At 10 weeks old (as of yesterday), Hanson already weighs 21lbs. His litter mates don't even come close to that. He was the first born but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference! I think someone is sneaking him miracle grow... Most border collies are only 30-40 lbs full grown but at this rate, I'm going to have the biggest BC known to man. LOL! How big was your pup at 10 weeks and how big now?

We also have our first vet appointment on monday to get his 2nd booster! It's a few days late but our vet is booked tight.

My 37 lb. MUTT (almost 10 years old now) was 9.6 lb. at 2 months and 14.7 at 3 months. His weight was 35 lb. at a year.

I can't remember for sure but I think the weight-tracking rule (forget what it was) had them all going to be heavier than they ended up. Danny's mama is only 42 lb. but I have no idea how big her boyfriend was.

Yes, we definitely need a picture.

Maybe if you have something suitable handy, do one of those weekly/monthly pics next to something that doesn't change size. We'd love to see him grow!

What a little bruiser! Henry was about 19 pounds but I'm not sure it's a fair comparison, lab to border collie. We would very much like to see a photo!

This might prove interesting for you:

We also have a sticky stating that 4 months' weight doubled yields potential adult weight. I haven't been following it but other members' contributions might give you some insight.

Look at how cute he is!

I always thought Border Collies were closer to 50lbs at full grown...and maybe males get a little bigger... but he's just adorable!
