Smile For those of you whose dogs have been sprayed by skunks

I saw this...found it rather coincidentally cute and interesting....and thought of you.

Valentine's Day is when the males start moving around, looking for mates. That means that those of you who live near dens might be seeing them out and about more often, starting now. And that means a potential reoccurrence of your dog's last spraying. Just thought you might find this interesting in a "try to avoid" kind of way. Not that I know how you could do this.

      Anyway....Happy Valentine's Day.

This is great information, thanks. I didn't know they would spray each other. I've smelled skunk twice recently but I'm sure it's vixen fixin for mixin as fox smells like faint skunk.

That's always my assumption, too. We have lots of foxes around but, in 35 1/2 years, I've seen only one skunk. In my neighbors' garbage bag. I didn't realize it was there until after I'd walked past (their garbage goes out right next to our driveway, so I was close). It was merely backing out of the bag...didn't care about me at all. Lucky me.
