You need to be very careful with chew items and look to see where they are made. I only like to see "made in the USA".

Also...I never give anything rawhide...they can cause blockages.

I don't care for NYLABONES...my neighbor's Lab broke his tooth on one....they are very, very hard.

Honestly, I'd be weary of a lot of chew things if your Labby is an aggressive chewer and most Labs are!

But they do need something to pacify their desire to chew.

The only thing that my Labby can chew (under supervision) is a large bully stick. These don't seem to bother him...I always look to see where they are sourced. But I do take it away when it starts to get small.

The only drawback...these things are super expensive!

Remember to always supervise your Lab with anything he's chewing on.

I have like so many have heard about the negative things about chewing rawhides and I would never give my dog one. I had some bully sticks made in the US that she enjoyed but she was getting mushy stools and since stopping them her stools are once again firm. Finding something to pacify their craving to chew is not easy but i will keep looking!

If you look for good bully sticks that come from grass fed cows, you may not have an issue with her stools.

Look for "Merlin's Magic" bully sticks...these are also odor free. They are the best I have found.

Diggity occasionally likes a nylabone, but he’s really not that interested in them. I wonder if these Benebones taste better?

Amber didn't like the Benebone a few weeks ago but maybe I should try it again. She prefers something that has little bits coming off to chew.

Still looking at all of the varieties now...but Amazon will need to say "thank you" to you for catching my attention. (Tripe: good thing the dogs have dedicated washable mats to chew things on...that's some nasty smelling stuff....figure the chews won't be any different than the canned variety.)
My pups think they died and went to heaven.

I ended up getting the Nature Gnaws tripe and salmon sticks. I just opened the tripe this morning. I was glad to smell something a bit less putrid than the canned tripe had been (Sunnie and the puppies all got tripe with their food "way back when"). These things took about the same length of time that a fat large crunchy biscuit would take....maybe a bit longer, especially with Dan...but, boy, did they go over in a big way. Both pups spent a good long time flossing their tongues on the mats after the sticks were gone. Usually, that's only something Dan indulges in.

Hope the salmon will be as well received.

    I recommend.

Did the tripe give them bad gas? I have freeze dried tripe bits and I gave a few to Diggity last week and OH MAN. He stunk up the house. Haven’t dared try them again, although I probably will just to make sure that was indeed what caused it.
