Yeah, although at least it sounds like they are doing health testing, which is better than nothing - I sure hope they are testing the parents for everything that both Labs AND Poodles can get though as both breeds have their own issues either of which can show up in Doodles. Definitely not where I would go for a puppy though.

Are you sure they do all the testing? A lot of people think that breeders do, but they really do not. Unless you can find up to date test results in the OFA database, they do not. Buyers run into this all the time where breeders say they do testing, but no one asks what that means, so they can get away with it.
There is a doodle breeder (actually, a network of doodle breeders really) that keeps showing up on my feeds and I know a couple people who have bought dogs from them. While the families have enjoyed their dogs, the dogs have all had behavioral and health issues. They said they went through a rigorous application process and the breeder does all kinds of great things and is a PhD so must be knowledgeable. So, I looked at their site and they talked about health testing, but it wasn't specific. They even went on to say that certain dogs have not had health testing, but they are older have have had litters where the puppies are not adults and healthy, so no need. They did talk about how you shouldn't over-exercise puppies, how to socialize puppies, and so on. There were plenty of red flags, but it was a great website and I can see how a person could get excited about purchasing a puppy from this site.

Anyway, I was curious, so I submitted an application. It was a big application and obviously, I wasn't about to spend hours on it, so I fake answered it, and my responses were very short, no detail. I did answer all the questions. I said I was a single mom with three kids (6 months, 2 years, 4 years), lived in a 500sf apartment, no yard, with two pitbull mixes and three cats. I said the puppy would stay home alone from 6am to 8pm and exercise would be running up and down the stairs. The puppy would sleep with my 6 month old. I also said that I couldn't afford vet bills, training, etc.

A couple days later, I received a form response that I was approved and only one of 30% of applicants that are actually approved for a puppy through this breeder because I seemed like I could give the puppy a great home. They mentioned my "kids" and how much the puppy would love having them to play with. Oh, and in order for your contract to be valid, you had to feed them some brand of pet food that I've never heard of (True Pet or something like that?), and to get a discount, you use a certain code from their website. I am sure the code is how the breeder receives a kickback, it's not actually a discount code.

These puppies are shipped from the midwest. You are never allowed to see the parents. And, these puppies cost between $1,500 and $2,000, including shipping, depending on type of doodle (they sell them all), size and color.

Just like fake news, breeders are becoming savvy to what they need to do and say to get people to purchase their puppies and feel like they are getting a well-bred, healthy puppy. It's easy to be market-savvy behind a well-written website.

Just 3 post on the breeder page...

Feb 1 st of facebook they posted this
"We have a chocolate female and 2 chocolate male. They are ready to take home tomorrow morning. If interested, please shoot me a text at XXXXXXXXX"

    Feb 9
We have a beautiful litter of labradoodles available. Some are black, and some are yellow. They are old enough to meet this morning or next sat morning

We have labradoodles and yellow female lab puppies available. Thanks for checking us out!

The pups come with 2 yr warranty, AKC papers and Both parents are tested for all the stuff. They have tonnes of Labs and Labradooles as in new england the demand for these are high.

My wifes wants to adopt the next dog when we go that way, i want a Sable german shepard to do some IPO.... so we will be adopting i have to wait hopefully a long time to get the next gigi...

This is very bad...no reputable breeder would post like this on facebook and give a puppy to the first person that is available to "take home tomorrow morning". And no Labrador Retriever Breeder would also want to ruin the breed by breeding "Labradoodles". A lot of RED FLAGS here.

I am very doubtful they actually do clearances. these days many breeders know to talk the talk and may mention health testing but do none. or maybe the cheap DNA scan which doesn't tell you anything about heart, hips, elbows, nor eyes. or they mean "vet visit check-up" type thing.

there is zero signs that this breeder is remotely reputable. sounds more and more like a puppy mill.

Considering Poodle breeders (at least Std poos) are now recommended to add Echocardiagram to their list of clearances due to ASD (and of course Lab breeders are as well to screen for TVD), I bet you $$$$ they aren't doing all of the DNA and OFA testing w/ those doodles. Run! Fast!!!

If this were not so sad and troll like on its face value it would be laughable. Absolutely nothing about this sounds remotely reputable. "Labradoodles" are through no fault of their own, high priced mutts marketed to the gullible by greed motivated charlatans. So many red flags raised. Just sickening.

The fact that they sell labradoodles, just removes the word "reputable" from anything anyone has to say about them.

How does "Mutt" become a "Designer breed" no one will know.

The answer is quite simple, start with carefully contrived marketing hype, add mutt (doodle), add ignorant / clueless impulse buyer, multiply by greed = demand for designer mutts.
