We were still discussing on our way to pick him up - we had a few names we liked and I am of the firm belief that dogs help name themselves so I wanted to see our boy's personality before committing to a name. But then we walked into the breeder's house and from around the corner came running four puppies. It was our boy and his three sisters (it was a small litter). The three girls were all pulling on his collar and he was dragging them all along. He was bigger and blonder and stronger than his litter mates, and I remember turning to my husband and saying "dammit, he's a Thor".
    What a great story!

Love the story and his picture in the crate! Lab puppy bellies are the best! I've been a lab parent for almost 24 years-wouldnt have it any other way!

We didn't know if at 69 and 71 years old my husband and I should get our 3rd lab, but we did and she is such a sweet girl. Will be nice when we walk and she doesn't pick up every stick and rock she finds on the street in our neighborhood! There is something so special about a lab and like Thor, Amber likes sleeping on her back a lot! Handsome boy!
