Hey there! Hanson update: I just took him to the vet, they tried to drain the fluid from his seroma because it grew significantly but after 2 full syringes and Hanson getting restless, the vet decided it'd be better to put in a drain. So, Hanson is staying over night at the vet and getting his 5 day drain put in tomorrow. We still can't pinpoint the cause so I'm also having more bloodwork done to rule anything out.

Thank you all so much! Hanson's surgery went well, I get to pick him up after in 2 hours. He will need the drain in for 5 days so we'll probably go back on Monday. He will be stuck in a cone for awhile and probably a t-shirt so he doesn't leak everywhere but, I'll be glad when this is all over. Can't wait to see the little naked border collie!

Good thoughts for a smooth recovery. Are they still trying to figure out what caused it or are you assuming it was trauma of some kind? It seemed to grow so fast...like something was continuing to aggravate the area.

We are pretty sure trauma was the cause. Either the ice slip or playing with his doggy friends. He is on limited activities so he is stuck in his play pen most of the day for the next 5 days unfortunately.
