    Hanson needs some mojo

A week ago I noticed a fluid build up under Hanson's skin on his shoulder. It grew overnight and I scheduled an emergency vet appointment to get it looked at. The vet told me that it's a seroma with no infection and it should go away on it's own. Well, in order for that to happen the little guy would probably have to be the calmest puppy ever.
It's gradually growing and the vet said to come back in a week if it didn't show signs of shrinking so we are going back on Tuesday.

He will most likely have to have a drain put in and wear a cone of shame... I can't believe Hanson has to go through this at such a young age. There are a few things that could be caused it, slipping on the ice, his vaccine was giving their, or playing with his doggy friends.

If anyone has advice I'd greatly appreciate it!

Sending good thoughts for your Hanson....yes, he is very young to have this condition. I think a seroma is similar to a hematoma?

He got his second booster shot 1.5 weeks before he got the seroma. The vet said she didn't think that's what it was from and studied it a bit while we were there.

It may be a result of trauma to that area. Did he fall on the ice? It's been so icy here...it's even hard taking our pup out for a walk.

Cassie has one that I found about 3 weeks ago. That my Vet said was from her Rabbles shot. What he told me was if it grew it would grow fast and if that was the case he would want to remove it.

Sending mojo hope its nothing serious.

I get so nervous when it comes to the Rabies vaccine...I've heard of so many reactions to it.

Sunnie just had hers. I was even more nervous because of her age (15 - 17 ???) and the fact that she's on Rovera (excellent bloodwork).

I bought some homeopathic Thuja and gave her 3 pellets the day before her vaccine and for 9 days after. No side effects from the vaccine. My vet is unfamiliar with Thuja but did her own research for me and said, "it can't hurt". I plan to do the same with Dan (wonky ALT) for his vaccine this summer.
