Oban May Need More Affection, More Pets, More Hugs, More Attention From Me. LOL

Perhaps if I paid more attention to him he would not go wild with glee when complete strangers pet him. This morning we met a lady walking the snowy bush trail within sight of the one we were on. She was alone and normally I don't let my dog bound up to strangers but she looked at Oban and said, "Well Hi There" so I let him go to her. Next thing I know she's down on her knees in the snow, voluntarily, with her arms around him, petting him, telling him sweet nothings and he's wiggling and whining and carrying on like NO ONE EVERY PETS ME at home. LOL, well really, I have to wonder if people think that some times.

Rosie use to knock ppl on their butts at the vets office, they knew what she would do ahead of time. She wasn't a total angel but they all loved and miss her.

I think dog people know the truth...most dogs are love sponges.

And I sure enjoy engaging with other people's dogs on walks...what works for the dog works for the owner. (emoticons don't seem to be working right now....SMILE)

Lovely story! Good for Oban and stranger. When Samson has to go to the vet, he literally sits and whines begging for someone to pet him. If someone makes eye contact, oh boy. The whine turns into this deep throat whine that is so pitiful and he doesn't stop. Sometimes he even begins to shiver! Asher just gets all silly with a massive wiggle butt. Samson is just adorable and gets so much pity. I always wonder the same thing--- do people think I ignore him or abuse him!

Chase used to flop over belly up for one of our neighbors to give him belly rubs. He would let us rub his belly but to see him around Sharon, you'd also think he was attention starved. Maybe Oban did recognize a soul who needed his special sort of attention!

My two must be related Oban, you'd think they get zero attention here at home.

I was going to say the same Barry! Cassie acts like perfect strangers are the only ones who show her some loving.
