    Benelli update

Sorry it's been so long Benelli was really really sick I thought i was going to have to put him down 2 weeks ago. He stopped eating everything, would vomit if I syringed him and just layed around. I then bought some slippery elm, aloe vera inner fillet, flori Flora, and chlorophyll and made a cocktail and would syringe that to him before he would eat. With in a few days he started to perk up and keep some food down I would syringe. Thankfully now he's eating well again. Vet wanted me to feed him the Royal canin LF but I don't like the ingredients. It needs to be under 10 percent fat bc of his pancreatitis so far I only found canidae platinum weight loss and have been adding venison and beef heart to it. I want to make his food but right now he's still being very picky so he won't eat oatmeal rice millet beef broth bone broth veggies. Prob bc he got sick on them.

He goes in Tuesday to recheck his blood for his anemia 2 weeks ago he was holding at 30 we had to decrease his pred again bc of the pancreatitis. IM Dr wants to decrease it again next week but I'm going to wait til I come back from vacation.

Thankfully his energy has returned and fingers crossed he stays well and stable til I get back. I'm super nervous
Here he is acting better chewing his bone.

What a hard thing. Oban has Lymphangiectasia and needs a low fat diet too. I had to give up his raw food, too hard to control fat. He's been on Raynes Low fat Kangaroo Maintenance for four years now and going strong. It's 10% fat, maybe too high for Benelli but worth a look at?

I am so sorry to hear he is still fighting it. Still sending mojo. No experience at all so I can't give you any advice.

Glad he's improving - you might want to look into Annamaet Lean - it's very low fat (9%) and supposed to be good for pancreatitis dogs too. Chloe's been on it for weight maintenance for years and done well - I like that it is also higher protein (30%). It is $$ though.
