What an ordeal. Did the rabies shot do that? It's unbelievable... Sending more good thoughts.

Yes I do believe the rabies shot caused this. I had it done 3 days before he got sick. He was in 3 days before had a full physical exam including looking in his mouth and eyes so I think the vet would have noticed he was pale and highlighter yellow like he was a few days later. They say over vaccinating can cause it and tho I don't he was a rescue and who knows how many puppy vaccines he has before I got him. This was the first time I gave him a rabies now I'm so scared to give It to any of my dogs especially since my Chihuahua also had a reaction tho not as deadly it took me months to fix him. He started loosing his hair and got scabs all over his ears. Lots of anti fungal baths and I added an immunity supplement and his hair finally grew back in. Also topical flea and tick and heartworm meds can trigger IMHA sometimes cancer.

Right now as long as his quality of life is good we will keep going. It's a long journey it's emotional, expensive, stressful. He won't be able to go swimming this summer I'll have to get him a pool for the back yard as his immune system is suppressed.

I can't foster just in case I can't chance bringing anything in he can catch bc he can't fight it off.

As long as he's happy he still enjoys chewing his bones and playing with his ball. Hopefully one day I can say he's in remission. He's only 4 months some people it took a year or more Tor remission. Thanks everyone for your prayers.
