    Another Benelli update

Benelli is still fighting his pcv has been holding at 32 which is ok but not normal yet. He had an episode last week to which he stopped eating again so we've added sucralfate to his list of meds twice a day everyday. I'm still giving him slippery elm 4 times a day and he's feeling much better. Right now he's eating chicken and rice and a small amount of health extension vegetarian wet food mixed with a heaping tablespoon of milk thistle and missing link supplement.

I'm in the process of slowly bc I don't want I mess up his stomach anymore than it already is switching him over to ground turkey/venison/beef heart with Dr Harvey's raw viberance and some answers goat milk and answers fish stock. Between reading and talking to I the companies these are great for healing the gut and pancreatitis.

We still have a long road ahead but he's doing ok he plays with his ball and even runs with the other dogs tho I keep his activity limited still. He goes in for his blood check tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

How did it go? What about looking into one of the IBD facebook groups? It sounds similar, if not exactly the same thing. Well, they all seem to have slightly different experiences.

His blood work wasn't too bad his liver is elevated prob bc of the long term pred. Pancreas levels slightly elevated. His pcv rbc went down a bit. He's now at 31 from 32 at this point it's trial and error. Sometimes too much immune suppression can cause them not to regenerate so we decreased the mycophenolate a bit and I'm sick. I don want him to drop I check his gums multiple times a day. Good news is his platelets are still in normal range and he's regenerating rbc just at a slow pace.

His energy is still good and he's eating well right now. I don't wish this disease on anyone so many unknowns. Plus I'm prob going to have to take out a second job just to pay for it all.
