I wonder if she notices she's lying there in a forest of other dogs (the pillows)! Either way, She's a cutie. I wish I had good suggestions for doing her nails, Henry hates it and I'm lucky to get one or 2 nails done at one time.

awww LuLu is so adorable! Thank you for taking her in, that will especailly nice for the kids so they can some over and visit her.

when we first rescued Ginger i just put a treat in front of her and turned on the dremal. After a couple times of doing that so she could get used to the noise i just did as many nails as she would let me then stopped and started again the next day. She got better about it but still to this day doesn't like to have her right side done, same with Tootsie she didn't care for me touch the feet on her right side. They are both vision impaired on that side.

Thank your for rescuing this cute girl! I know you'll have her whipped into shape in no time! The vet tech can muzzle her and clip her nails, so you don't have to be the bad person. She'll need to have them done very frequently to get the quicks to receed. I did a lot of small dog fostering before we got Lido, and I have two adopted small dogs, too. One foster's nails were so long that they nearly curled into her pads, poor thing. She could hardly walk, until I trimmed them. Our littles are so portable and easy to travel/camp with - Lido, not so much, lol! They also cost SO much less for food, meds, etc. I still love my Lido boy - don't worry!

She looks like a ball of energy. Looks plenty happy to be there.

I agree on the file for the nails. It might make it a little less intimidating than cutters or a dremel.

I am noticing some cute behaviors, she stands on her hind legs to see over things and sniffs the air. She looks like a meerkat (sp)! She had a good night last night. She likes to sleep in her crate and likes the crate covered, she slept from 10 to 7 so I can't complain.

I made a filing board for Molly and she files her own nails.
