First Camping Trip of the Year

Broke out the camper and headed to the coast of RI for the first camping trip of the season. The weather here has been just awful for so long that I'm getting webbed feet. Cassie couldn't wait to get in the truck and get on the road. Friday night it was 41 F, raining and very windy. Our group lost one canopy that flew up and over the roof of the camper. Cassie was not a fan of the cold and wind. She decided to go to bed without me. She has learned that a quick run down the aisle, a jump onto the couch and leap up onto the bunk works just fine for her.

Saturday was the complete opposite, beautiful sunny day. Brought my great nieces and nephews to the beach and let them play. Cassie was in her glory retrieving bumpers from the ocean and showing off for the crowd.

Cassie looks like she is very comfortable with her choice of spots to keep warm!! Cooper prefers that very same spot in our trailer. We are packing up and heading out Thursday for our first camping trip...and we can't wait!!

I'm out right now for our first trip of the year! Of course here in Texas there's not that long of a down season, though we have had some bad storms recently.

Cassie does look happily settled in although maybe a bit concerned that you're going to take that sleeping bag away from her. The cold and rain don't sound too inviting. My dogs are happy to go into any temperature of water but for some reason, that looks cold! But their motto seems to be, Let no bumper go un-retrieved!
