    Sophie and the Lava Pit

My Miss Sophie is quite the Princess. As we say around here, "It's Sophie's World and we're just living in it". Sophie does not like getting her face wet when it rains, and she's not real keen on walking in wet grass. Every morning since the grass started growing a couple months ago we've go through this same basic routine. I put her and Brooks out, and Brook goes off the deck and does his business pretty much immediately, you know, like a "normal" dog. Sophie goes out and stands on the deck, and will not go off until I force her to. The past week or so she started going right to the bottom of the stairs, and will stop and stand on the rocks at the bottom, and she will not walk off until I force her. Even then I have to make her walk around the yard, and maybe, just maybe, she'll do her business. Mind you she's been in the house for close to 11 hours or so.

    Sophie and the Lava Pit...........

In general we don't get much snow, this past winter I only got the snow blower out once. Overall she loves the snow. She didn't start doing this until the grass started growing, it's nice and thick, and it's wet in the morning, which is why she doesn't want to walk on it. I keep telling her she should be happy she didn't stay in the UK, as she'd be hating life with as wet as it is there!

LOL we have one of those in our house too, Ginger doesn't like to get wet either, she only weighs 17lbs so we just pick her up and put her off the deck.

When Katie has to go, she goes. Sophie just wants you to "appreciate" what she has to go through just to "go". You know, misery loves company.
