Well we took Amber for a day of swimming but since it was her first time we didn't get much swimming done. She was more fascinated with all the butterflies fluttering around! We didn't want to force her the first time so we let her go at her own pace and she did ok with that. It's the same place we always took Sophie so it brought back tons of memories. Maybe next time she'll decide to get more than her belly wet!

You did well not to force it. I've found it takes 3 or 4 trips before they will enter the water and swim. It's best to let them figure it out at their own pace.
Looks like she had fun.
Did she paddle and play in the shallow area though? That's all a friend's Lab will do and he's nearly two. WE've taken him out with Oban, still no go. He will roll in mud puddles though, so a swim before getting back in the car to go home would be really nice.
