    Altitude sickness in dogs

Im a bit worried about Molly. She seems a very tiered. It might be from the heat but it could be from the altitude. We went from 0 to 5000 and have been here a few days. But I am suffering with the heat down here and need to shift. My plan is to move up to around 7500 Ft and set up camp for a week before we move up any further. She has been eating fine and pooping and peeing just sleeping a ton.

I'm sure altitude has the same effect on dogs as humans. I know it kills me. We go to Colorado every year to visit fronds, and they keep the bottles of 100% oxygen just for me. I guess when you're born at sea level (Baltimore, MD) the mountain are just going to kick your butt!

The big thing it to make sure you both stay hydrated. That's a biggy at altitude.

My nephew has a service dog( a real service dog)...and he flies alot w/dog. my nephew mentions many times about other dogs on airlines getting sick on plane. it took me months to get used to mile high air. if you are dogs getting sick, I would go lower immediately. thats just me.

I grew up in high altitude so I feel fine. She is doing much better tonight. I think the heat is playing a big roll
