Usually, and I mean that, USUALLY you want a show bred Lab puppy if you plan on having it in the house. They tend to be calmer yet still active enough to do what you want to do with it. Show bred puppies usually have an off switch.
Great thread. Don't mean to hijack, but thanks Jen, was reading about the American/English, but your suggestion of just finding a reputable show breeder for a pet Lab would be really the right way for me to go. Not going to show, not breeding, just want another Lab to be a companion to us, as well as Lilly and the Z-Tribe.
