Can he make it to 16?

So HRH King Maxx just turned 15 years old, to my delight. Anyone know if or had a Lab that lived longer than that? His health is good right now. He is slow or course, arthritic, he is eating differently than before. A little pickier. I have no illusions but I just wondered about your experience with older dogs. He loves to swim in the ocean still, goes to the dog park & lies around. No big walks anymore. Just relaxing times.

I know of a Lab who lived to be 17. However, 15 is amazing. You are blessed.

My Abbey was 16. Regular blood work is very important. Happy 15th to your sweet boy.

Lucky you to have him this long. Our chihuahuas were 18 and 17 when they passed but smaller breeds last longer, we had a medium sized last 14 yrs. Hope he makes a few more for you, he looks good especially for his age.

I can only hope to be as lucky as you with my man Rio. My family's two labs only reached 12/13 when I was growing up.
