At the risk of offending anyone, Huskys can be a weird breed like many of the northern breeds. Very prey aggressive. I'm guessing they aren't that confident in their little darling and probably did you a favor. My neighbor's Golden was accidentally bred by a husky/malamute years ago. The neighbors in all their brilliance kept not one but TWO of the puppies. You'd not believe how much grief it caused me because these people should not have had anything more than a goldfish.... I ended up fencing and even double fencing along their house fence line because their dogs would escape and come attack mine. Not pretty, and forever left me untrusting of the northern breeds. And w/ friends in kennel club who have them, it's a well grounded concern I'm told. Not very trainable dogs overall when it comes to prey. Anne
