There is really no staying ahead of the hair, I sweep and vacuum almost daily. When I skip a day here and there, I feel like a could make a new puppy out of the hair that is on the floor. The yellow fur also seems to show up a lot more than the black fur did on the hardwood. The fur is such a renewable resource, I always joke that I am going to start knitting with it.

I totally agree! After our doggie past last year I really, really missed finding fur everywhere. It sounds weird but my house felt sterile and not homey at all.

I do it twice a week for the carpet, almost daily for the hardwood.

A friend of mine has a Cocker that she keeps really short in the summer, and it seems like every time she phones me my answer to the question "whatcha doing" is always "vacuuming". So if you don't have a shedding breed it could seem a bit weird.

Not as often as I should. I don't know what I was thinking having two dogs, different colors. Oh well!

Poor DW tries but doesn't succeed in staying ahead either. Every now and again, (not too often), I feel sorry for her and grab the vacuum myself.

It's a joyous occasion when the vacuum is unplugged, LOL. It's more Mardi fur right now. They don't seen to shed at the same time. I'm vacuuming and swiffering all the time.

Just had a great thought, gonna hire GS to do the inside of the car. He's going to hate me for that.

Almost everyday & I'm never ahead I stopped caring so much and I think that's the best way - If people don't accept my dogs and our mess we can always meet in a pub
My OH is thinking about buying one of those self-vacuuming automatic hoovers but I'm not really convinced...

I refuse to stay ahead because it's a lost cause. I close my eyes to hair on the carpet and vacuum 1-2 a week.

This month it's every day for us. I'm thrilled that my husband has gotten in on the act. He doesn't like fur on his weights.

In our house it's "you can run but you can't hide".
