No wonder poor Koopa was feeling so ill! So glad the surgery went well and he's recovering. Hope he's home soon and back to normal!
As for insurance, they call it "accidental ingestion" or some such - our insurance covered us when Polly ate the lenses from a pair of my sunglasses once. She's never eaten a ball, but we have the Vaseline and cotton balls routine down to a science!
In our park, if we see a tennis ball or pieces, we all pick them up and throw them away. Would it help if Koopa had his own bumper to carry and play with when you're next able to go? It may stop him from putting something else in his mouth.
Get well soon Koopa and no more ball eating!!

Wishing Koopa a speedy recovery!!
My boy Cooper had obstruction surgery just over a year ago when he swallowed a large rock, and our insurance covered it under accident as a foreign body.
Hope Koopa is home soon!!

Glad to hear he's OK! Yes, the insurance should address it. Blockage is not a GI issue. All good thoughts for Koopa's recovery.
