just curious breeder question

My next lab, I wouldnt mind buying a fully trained house dog/pet. The puppy stuff the second time around for me just wont have the same meaning as my initial experience. so 2 grand for a well trained healthy adult is not out of bounds for me. of course, well trained needs to equal well behaved

You know, I'd be a little curious as to why she wants to sell him, but have him neutered. If he has a CH and JH, there might be a health problem, as she obviously doesn't want him bred. If she was going to sell the dog, if there weren't any issues, I'd think it would be on a co-ownership. Just something to ponder.

True. He may just not have enough talent to offer to the gene pool either. A JH in the pointing breeds is pretty much all instinct according to the pointer folks I know. So perhaps the dog didn't really have the "oomph" for the function part of the breed or maybe his temperament was too soft or such. A CH is easier to attain in that breed than w/ labs.
