Jeff, hope your back is feeling much better and that you have learned a lesson. You gotta stretch those muscles before you lift and turn.

Other than your back, sounds like both of you had a wonderful fallish day and a new experience with your adventures.

    How you feeling today?

Remember, it takes a while for those muscles to heal so no lifting and twisting for a while. Dancing is a no no right now.

Hope you're feeling better already. Strained muscles can be a real pain; happened to me a few months ago during a fetching session with Mel. Kept throwing a tennis ball for her like a madman, not realizing my age, and ended up not being able to move without making funny sounds and shedding tears for about three weeks.

I am feeling much better today, thanks for asking. Doc told me I needed to get out and exercise and keep the muscle warmed up. Just no too rough on the back. Walking was fine so Hemi and went for a walk. We did some light agility, where I didn't have to run. Things like him practicing weaves where I could walk along beside him and worked on distance work like sending him out to do jumps and stuff. It was enough to wear him out and I got out and about. Still sore though but no wear near as bad, I was able to get out of bed pretty easily this morning without too much of a struggle.

Just saw this today. Wow, hope you're doing better. Yeah, it sucks getting old!! The only thing I really don't like about it is the aches and pains, I've always been ugly so that don't much matter. I pulled a back muscle when I was young too. Early 20's. It was not fun.

Ugh sorry about your back, but sounds like a nice time for Hemi!

Were the the trails along a river? I went to a really nice one out there with Char once, he loved the water so he swam while I stayed on the trails. Wish I could remember the name...

I bet Hemi was pretty pleased with the doggy menu! I took Char to HopCat once. They didn't have a doggy menu but they were happy to bring him a grilled chicken breast, a bowl of water and a treat. I had a beer and some crack fries. If you're looking for options

thanks for sharing, love the pictures!

It's my experience that once you get pain in the back it is sure to return at some time. Sorry it punctuated a wonderful day out with Hemi. Time is the healer for this, been there, done that. Yeah, getting older reminds me everyday.Currently I'm in rehab for an arthritic knee and hamstrung hamstring. Hate it!!

Hmm not sure of the trails. There are so many out this way.

Hopcat is one of my favorite places to go. So many beers. Next time you go try their Jalapeno soft pretzels. Chunks of jalapenos in the soft pretzels, those are so good with spicy mustard.

Just what you need, a sore back and heartburn.
