I had never been able to look at the pictures you had posted of Sully without tears in my eyes. Initially they were tears of joy in knowing that whatever time he had left was going to be filled with love and attention. After his passing and today, they are tears of sadness and gratitude for the opportunity to have known him, albeit for too short a time on this board.

    Rest in peace Sully.

Who could ever forget that wise face. I can't believe it's been a year. You were his angel and I'm sure he was one to you too. Sweet Sully. We all miss you.

It's hard to say who gave who more. What a sweet, gentle ol' man he was, and so lucky to have stolen your heart.
Thanks for posting Sully pics again, I miss his sweet face around here.

I remember too. What a gift you have to be able to put your love into words. He was a beautiful soul & thank God you rescued him, I pray that your love & friendship erased any memory of his life before being surrendered, save for the ones of love & joy.
Running free & waiting for you he is...

Wow! I think you are so amazing that you could take him home and care for him at 15 k knowing that he would maybe, luckily live a year. I don't have the fortitude for that, so I admire you for taking on that challenge and giving him such a beautiful send off.

I remember when you brought the old man home. I was sooo thankful you 2 connected, and he found a truely loving home for his remaining days. I loved seeing him get physically healthier, and seeing him enjoy life and love in such a caring home. I had hoped for you and him a year or two together....
Sweet, sweet old soul, rest well.
