When a friend of mine sent me some info about this mineral, I really thought it was a joke. But being completely ignorant in geology, I decided to look around a bit only to find it's for real Labradorite - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Guess it would be neat to have some Labradorite jewelry

I've got some Labradorite earrings and pendants.....and a chunk of it in my rock collection. It's pretty.

Cool
I don't think it can be found here, unfortunately, but the pics in Wiki are really cute - great colors and patterns. Pretty sure it could be great for bracelets, necklaces, and even rings and earrings. Would be nice to have one in my apartment just as an ornament - looks good, and anything connected to labs is welcome here Guess it's time to start looking.
Most of my rocks and minerals have come from eBay or Etsy....even Amazon has some. You can get spheres, eggs, carvings in the stuff there, too....not just chunks or jewelry. It really is neat looking. I got a cool little sitting Lab off eBay (not in Labradorite but a search under "carved dog Labradorite" might yield some hits).

Has some really nice colors if you do a search of google images.
I have a lovely rock which I was told had slivers of opal in it but some of the images on the net it looks a lot like labradorite.
