you're teaching the dog to play dead (as a lead-in to hopefully doing "hands up -- bang!", which is my children's greatest wish), and he can do it perfectly, except his tail keeps wagging!

When I tried that on Jake, I started with him sitting and pointed my finger at him and went bang. He ran from the room upset and I knew he didn't like that at all. He doesn't like rifle fire and I have never used a hand gun around him but he is clearly aware of what is going on. I still don't know how that is possible. When he hears a shot in the distance if its close he goes up close to the house and lays by it, a shot in the far distance he looks in the direction and stairs that way for a long time. I have tried a few times and its too upseting for him.
