I'm big on buying collars with names and phone number embroidered on them. Rabies and city tags stay with me; i.e. in the car, in the treat pouch around my waist.
Double posted sorry

I have been using Red Dingo tags for a long time. My one dog has had hers for 6 years no wear.
We bought our tag from a store in a local shopping centre. He makes keys, offers an engraving service for ID tags, fixes watches, etc. All we had to do was select a metal tag and he'd engrave the name and phone number.

I also recommend Red Dingo tags! So pretty!

Thanks everyone!
I think i will try the Boomerang tags for my boys. I have never had that flat against the collar style tag before maybe i'll order both and see how they work out. I should probably have one on their harness each anyway.
I was originally looking at red dingo tags but unfortunately there are no places anywhere near me that supply them and they don't have an online store(?!?!?)
Also another random question, but what information do you put on the tag? I notice a lot of sites i've been looking at have a field for 'owner's name'.... i've never heard or seen anyone do this before... I always just put the dogs name and my address and phone number.
I think I've seen Red Dingo tags sold elsewhere. I had one for Chase but after that one, his rabies and county license tags, and a few others must have gotten caught on something and pulled loose from his collar on more than one occasion, I switched to the boomerang tags. Here's where I ordered his Red Dingo tag, how I remembered the site I don't know!

Like Poptop, I also have their name and my phone number embroidered on the collars that they always wear when they're outside. I have our names and contact info on the boomerang tags, along with the dog's name. If the dog has run away or gotten loose, I hope whoever finds him/her will use the info for good, not evil. If the dog has been stolen, they're not going to call the info on the tag anyway so who cares what's on the tag.
Ebay and jazzytags.com are also sources for Red Dingo.
Mine wear their Red Dingo's on their leather collars for dress up and we have AKC CGC tags for everyday. So at least others know they know how to behave like little ladies even if they forget sometimes when excited!
