So just letting everyone know going to be very quiet from me for a while. It is time for Dog Scout Camp. We will officially be leaving Sunday the 14th and not be back until the 20th. I will be getting ready and packing and prepping and so on over the next week and making sure I get everything done. I will be posting picture when I return probably, not till Tuesday or Wednesday as I will have a lot to catch up on.
I have seen the schedule this year and its going to be a fun time. One of the badges I am really looking forward to working with Hemi is Carting. Hemi will actually learn to pull a cart around. Finally my new gardening helper.
For those that don't know, Hemi is a Dog Scout of America. Which is a non profit organization that promoted and supports positive training and good care of dogs. I found Dog Scouts when Hemi was 8 months old and learned of their camp when I was looking for something for Hemi and I do as far as vacations. It really totally changed my view on dogs and mine and Hemi's life. I seen and learned of things I never knew existed. We go and do more things than I ever thought possible. Though this Hemi and I become closer than I ever thought possible too.
So that brings me to something else. Hemi is working on another badge, one of his fundraising badges for Hike a thon. I asked Woody if it was ok if I post a link to this and he said it was ok. So Hemi and I humbly ask for donations to Hemi's Hike a Thon page. It is a totally secure site and all donations go directly to the Dog Scouts. Since Dog Scouts is a non profit they do need income from donations and charity as a big part of their income for covering operating costs. So if you can please donate a little to Hemi's Hike a Thon page. It is only open during June and the only thing I can do is pledge to Walk Hemi 50 miles during the month of June. Which is going to be hard with all our travel and weather and agility running and other things but we plan to do it.
Things Hemi has Learned at camp in prior years:
Painting, Playing a Piano, Backpacking, Wilderness Search and Rescue, Agility, Lure Coursing, Canine Musical freestyle, Massage, Dock Diving, Biking, Geocaching, Letter boxing and so much other stuff.
Things I have learned:
Patients, love, lots of good ways to train your dog with different things and I have met a lot of wonderful dog people.
A few pictures of past camps

The most difficult photo in the world, seriously all the labs at camp one year together by the lake. You have no idea how many times it took us to round them all up and get them to sit still. I know it was about a half an hour for 1 picture. I had to leash Hemi he instigated a lot.
My Happy camper.
Thanks all and see you all in a couple weeks.
Jeff and Hemi.
