all I could do was shake my head and laugh

This could have turned out much worse but it didn't. My husband and I took the boys to state game lands to run around. When we were coming back to the road I leashed up Gauge and we were coming over the hill when I saw 3 dogs approaching no owner in sight.

I stayed calm since the 2 were fat little dauchunds the second looked like some type of shepherd med sized mix. Approached with tail wagging and wasn't acting aggressive. I shooed it away and he backed up I told my husband to get between Benelli and the dog and I did the same I said keep walking to the truck but make sure you stay between them. Every time the dog got close we would shoo it and it backed away.

Then we heard the owner calling the dogs yep you guessed it no recall what so ever. The dogs followed us all the way down the trail with the owner screaming at them to get over here, come here now, I mean it, bad dogs, ext ect . we got in the the truck and I was laughing. I turned to my husband and was like guess they failed the recall part of training.

I also have to say I was very proud of my dogs for not reacting to the dogs coming at them.

Like I said could have been a different senerio but all turned out OK.

I'm always concerned with a loose dog with no owner in sight approaches. You never know. Glad it all worked out OK. Kudos to your dogs for being so well behaved.
