I've wondered about BarkBox. So glad you were close and averted what could have been a very serious problem.
I don't know if any of you get a BarkBox for your pups. I folded and ordered them a couple, supposedly getting a "free" box as part of the deal. Anyway, the latest one had a large Bad Cuz, for those of you who know what the Cuz toys are, that looks like it has been pumping iron or something, it's large. The squeaker in it is also much larger than the squeakers in the 2 large Cuzs we had when Chase was smaller. He chewed the feet off and I think they are now in a landfill somewhere. Lark grabbed this new Cuz and in under 10 minutes had the big squeaker out and was chewing the ring that secured it into the body of the toy. The remaining hole in the Cuz is about the diameter of a half dollar. Fortunately the squeaker fell into the Cuz, not out. I was making her lie in the same room with me while she chewed it so happily I got the pieces away from her before she could swallow any of them. I was, however, forced to use bad language.
I just wanted to warn anyone who thinks a Cuz would make a good toy to be very careful if it has one of the large squeakers in it, not that swallowing a little squeaker is good, but this could have been bad!
The photo below includes a quarter and a toilet paper roll just to help with perspective.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

It's pretty hard to find a truly "Lab Proof" toy isn't it? That thing looks pretty robust, but as usual, not the case.
Yes, labs can certainly make short work of some toys. Larky doesn't get soft stuffed fabric toys because she'll dismember them. The Cuz looked pretty sturdy, it feels a lot like a red Kong, and I'll still let her play with the body. She hasn't torn up her Kongs. The ring that holds the squeaker in place just didn't have much holding power and she popped it right out.
Yeah, the black Kongs are the only thing I've found that can hold up to my two. I've got a couple nylabone type toys that have stood up pretty well, but I won't let them chew them if I'm not watching.
Cuz do not have the quality they did several years ago. They would be great balls if they left the squeakers out. If you let her play with the ball make sure there is a second hole in the ball so a suction can not be created if she sticks her tongue in the hole.
