All of a sudden the mixed breed moves to a completely different group than either of the foundation breeds? And why did they mix up kilometres and miles? The chart is fun but it's kind of wonky.
I also hope this chart came with some pointers about conditioning your dog up to running all these miles/kilometers and waiting until pups are fully mature before forced exercise like this. The Doodle thing is just ridiculous and invalidates the entire legitimacy of the document for me.

Haha I agree kinda funny. But in the good ole US of A we have road races that we measure in kilometers... 5K and 10K are popular distances for road races. Yet of course we measure distances in miles not kilometers here Just to be confusing!!
I can't say how they decided what dogs to put in which category, I didn't notice the golden/poodle thing LOL. It says they used Liz devitt's book about training dogs to run. Never heard of it/her.

I KNOW! it makes nose sense!?

As someone that has run with dogs and talk to others - another important factor is while some dogs CAN run, they don't necessarily LIKE it. I had a cattle dog who did great on my slow 5k runs. But his adopter who ran faster (and longer I assume) said he would HIDE when she brought out her running shoes. So she stopped bringing him. So you never really know haha.

Pen my BC mix is no where near as good a runner as she should be. I think many dogs find ti boring, they can't sniff or anything. I'm not fast but Pen generally ends up at my side as she slows down. My runs without her are always much faster, and that's fine.
