We're taking Thor on his first backpacking trip this weekend. He's been camping a bunch and hiking a bunch, but this is the first time with both! Since it's the first trip of the summer I've been spending a lot of time organizing and cleaning out the gear closet, and of course Thor interprets every visit into that closet as fun adventure time. Every time I get out a pack, or a tent, or a cookstove, or a pair of shoes, he goes bonkers with excitement. The poor pup just doesn't understand it when I say, "Not until Friday!"

I packed up his backpack and made sure it was adjusted properly for the carry weight. He was so so excited until he realized I wasn't actually taking him on a hike right then. That explains this look when I made him sit for pictures instead.
