    Pouting after Vacation

We went on a cruise last week and Macy went to her cousins several hours away. They have a yellow lab. We got frequent video updates of the two hogging the couch and having cousin fun.

We meet to pick up Macy. She looked at us. Tail went down and she went and sat by my sister. Really? I guess Cousin Camp is more fun than our house. Not the happy reunion I expected.

She forgave us shortly after taking her home.

Rocky used to do this to me. for the first years I had him he's totally ignore me when I picked him up no matter who was dog sitting. He'd dance all over my brother (he was often my ride) and give him attention and kisses but would ignore me. he would ignore me for a day or two after that - but would stay closer than usually. Close but not right next to me

He's much better now, he'll come say hi to me and won't ignore me when I pick him up.

At least you know she had a great vacation too! that always makes me enjoy my own vacation more

Sounds like she had a good time which was the most important part. She's just mad she did not get to go on a cruise too. Bet that won't last.

That's it! No more vacation for you! My mother's lab does that when he leaves my old house because I was on several acres and I could throw the ball for him all the time...

Wily little beasts, are they? We went away for 2 weeks last September and we left Lola with our friends who have a GSD. I thought Lola would be jumping for joy to see us. Nope. She did a quick "drive by" hello, then it was back to playing. She seemed a little distant for a few days, but got back in the routine in no time.
