    He is on the prednisone for this strange jaw affliction called masticatory muscle myositis. After this thread - I started to wean him off of it - he was doing fine on 1/2 twice a day - then I went to 1/2 a day - and NOPE - he went back to pain yesterday - so I am going to keep him on the prednisone at least 1 pill a day. It really does make him sort of unclear and panting - but I would rather that than pain. So - I think he may be on it now - for the rest of his life. 14 in September.

    Poor boy! I have never heard of that, will have to look it up. It definitely sounds like he needs the steroids, it is just sad it contributes to other issues. Sending good thoughts.
