    Post-travel Velcros

I've been traveling for work and family reasons since the end of June. It's kept me away from my boys (husband and Thor) and I just got home tonight. Thor has always been a Velcro dog but it's even crazier today. It's 80 degrees outside but he's amped up his cuddle game! From the moment I walked in the door he's been trying to stay in physical contact with me at all times - either in a tight heel as I'm walking around (almost leaning against my leg) or crawling on top of me when I sit on the couch.

I know it will wear off in a few days but I think it's so cute. He doesn't exhibit separation problems when I leave, but when I come home he seems to send a very clear message that he's not letting me go away again! He does still respond to an 'off' when I ask, but I kind of love the cute cuddles I'm getting right now (I missed him more than he missed me!)

Now he's bringing me every toy he owns. "remember this one? How about this one?"

    I love it.

I love that too. I find it endearing. My favorite part about Maverick is that I'm the highlight of his day.

It is one of my favorite things about Labs, they have no issue letting you know how much they love and miss you. I know we all know how hard it is for them to let us shower alone, it makes you wonder what they think when one or more of their humans disappear for any length of time!

He usually sits nearby when I am in the kitchen but he's taking it to the next level today. While I was making coffee this morning he chose this position.

When we picked Macy up from our vacation she was aloof. It was not the Welcome Home from her I expected.
Thor's reaction is adorable. I love it.

There's nothing better than a lab welcome home party! I work from home so I don't benefit as much. I'm jealous of my boyfriend who gets to experience the whole shebang at the end of every day! Bubba also sits woefully staring at the door after my boyfriend leaves in the morning.
