Wow!! Absolutely amazing and incredible experience for you. Talk about right place at the right time. Good thing you were holding Sailor's collar, with the way his tail was going I thought he was going to jump in.

That's so cool. I've been meaning to make it up to San Juan Islands so see the whales. Congrats! Sailor looks like he is ready to jump in and swim with the whales!

The one time Sailor doesn't decide to bark... I think that was a good idea! Although my husband had to hold his harness... just in case he decided to jump in!

Thanks for the sweet comments everyone!

It is SUCH an amazing experience seeing these whales! Really can't even describe it... and it's such a beautiful area to camp/hike/explore too. Hey, if you make it up here... swing on by if Chopper wants to play with some buddies!

That is an amazing article! I love seeing Sailor, so inquisitive about what those things were in the water! Watch out Sailor, you may have paparazzi coming to your house soon because you are a celebrity now!

ETA: I absolutely love Orcas! When I was in 3rd grade we had to write a book about our favorite animal, mine was on Orcas I also got the chance to visit San Juan Island and Vancouver Island on my 13th birthday, and got to go whale watching for my present!! I am quite jealous you live so close!
