Thanks everyone! Now we need to figure out where we would be best suited to volunteer. I decided when were at the nursing home that it wasn't a good fit. Sam is a sweet boy but when he meets new people his tail doesn't stop wagging. The little old ladies at the nursing home didn't appreciate being slapped by his tail One of our fellow graduates is trying to get something started at one of the military bases near us. If she can get that started I think it would be a good fit. I think we would have to be certified by the Red Cross to do that so she's looking into it. Sam also loves kids so something with kids is a possibility too. We shall see what we end up doing!
