    Pooper Scooper Recommendations

One thing I still can't do after surgery is to bend all the way down. That has left DH with poop scooping duty; we use a small hand trowel. Now that I can move around comfortably, I need to take back that chore. Besides, he does not scoop as often as I do.

Need some recommendations for long handled scoopers. Want to get my Super Duper Pooper Scooper title back.

Sorry Fran can't help with this one. I clean up the poo as they go, I use the plastic bags they put groceries in at the Commissary. No land mines in my back yard!!!

However, I want to say how happy I am that your doing so well you are ready to scoop the poo!!!!!!

Yesterday after Thanksgiving dinner, I walked outside to take the pups out with my FIL. He informed me that Lily is "shovel-trained" and proceeded to to slide the shovel under her as she was in the middle of her business! She didn't bat an eye so I guess she is indeed shovel-trained LOL!!!

It's a small shovel made of wood and plastic they got at the grocery store but it does the trick, especially if the dog is shovel-trained

We use a rake/scoop set similar to this one Amazon.com : Four Paws Large Dog Rake Set : Pet Waste Shovels : Pet Supplies . I’ve found the rake part is very helpful when the poop gets tangled in the grass, plus with the large set, you can scoop several deposits before needing to empty it into a bag or trash can. We only scoop every few days so that’s a nice feature for us. We’ve been known to have all 3 going at once in different parts of the yard, so “shovel training” while intriguing probably wouldn’t work here, LOL.

I use the same one Annette does. I think that's what I mentioned to you on FB to look up!

I use a manure pick from Tractor Supply. I'm 5'10 so it's nice and long enough for me. All the store bought claw kinds are way too short :-(

    LOL - I’m only 5’ so I don’t have that problem!

Hound Dog Large Pan and Rake Combo-HDP60 - The Home Depot

This is the one we use (similar to Annette's). It works really well and is big enough/small enough for me (I'm about 5'3). We just found a tree branch by where we dump it (no pun intended) and we hung it on a small twig. It's easy to rinse off too if needed

Before we moved, we used the clam shell one. Mocha just about "outgrew" it. Now, we live on 5 acres and Mocha has a couple of favorite spots. So DH just uses the mower
