Calling Charlie a Newf/StB mix might get him more looks, yet I'm told his previous vets' paperwork pegged him as BC/Akita. We live in a small town and word gets around so that inconsistency might go hard on the rescue.

All people have to do is meet him. So we've walked him daily, introduced him to more than a few people. And I've shared my observations with the rescue.

Something that's amusing yet indicative of how smart he is. Charlie weighs 104 and Stella 30. And yet when she shows teeth that she's had enough, he backs away. So he's very appropriate.

Charlie is a big ol' love sponge. I've been working afternoons this week and when I get home from work he greets me at the door, ready to give me a big puppy kiss. Follows me into the living room and curls up on the couch beside me. He'd better get adopted quickly, or he'll be staying!

    Bless you for fostering.
The wife and I have discussed fostering and have decided we would be foster failures with a house full of critters. I have a track record as a foster failure. I was only supposed to foster our cat, Duchess, for 2-3 weeks. That was 13 years ago!
