I've been looking at either taking the CGC test (AKC) or the SPOT test (UKC) with Dixie and I was just wondering if there was one that's preferred over the other? Or any pros and cons?

Not familiar with the UKC version. Did get Bandit's CGC certification. He was older, so laid back, he aced it.

The UKC version is very similar to the CGC test. I actually found a trainer a couple of towns over who is certified to evaluate both tests. So I'm debating doing both with Dixie.

If I run into an event that has the UKC version, I'll do it with my guys. All the dogs other than the pups have their CGCs, and they are all UKC registered, so I'll eventually do it, just to do it.
