I wish I could let Thunder out of his crate. He will be 7 next month and I don't see it ever happening. With his history of eating things and 2 obstruction surgeries under his belt, we cannot afford another ingestion. I just wish sometimes I could leave him snoozing in his favorite chair when we leave for work. I honestly would get nothing done all day because I would be worried about coming home and wondering what he swallowed. He is just a dog that needs his crate. Thankfully he LOVES his crate so that is half the battle. Your boys are too darn cute!

Good boys
Mine two are crated even though Barney is already 4.5. I tried to decrate him but he wasn't happy at all so we even stopped trying - dogs have their own room where are their crates & are happy in there...and they don't bark at us at all but once we asked our neighbour to let the dogs out as we were busy and they were both barking loudly till they've seen it's her

Macy is uncrated. She is three. She will greet me at the door wiggling and not barking. During the day, she barks at all kinds of noises and people. When she is home alone, she sleeps on the couch or on my bed.

WTG boys!!! I bet that's a dream come true for all of you Congratulations to the whole pack.
Mel's never been crated, don't actually even have a crate, and at first she was allowed into the kitchen and the hall and now we're slowly expanding, using the bedroom. She never barks, as a matter of fact Lynn didn't either, and when I get back home, she either emerges from the kitchen, especially on sunny and warm days as she seems to prefer the cold linoleum, or from the bedroom where she naps on our bed, typically my half when I'm not home and my pillow must have some special kind of attraction to her because it's always warm when I touch it She always comes to the door to greet me when I arrive; sure feels good; softly wagging her tail, not overly excited, but it's plain to see she's happy I'm back home. Actually she's a lot more excited when I return from the balcony that she really hates and her enthusiasm scares me a bit as I'm not sure anymore if there are not some structural problems and potential danger. She loved the old balcony and hasn't stepped out there since we had it replaced some six months ago

Oh, Burton! You are so adorable! I just want to kiss his mug! Bring him to the show next spring so I can meet him! :-)
Here is how Raj does curtain-hogging:
He gets so much hair and general filth on the curtains. I actually have a service come once a year to put up temporary curtains and take mine away for dry cleaning, but it's hard to get mad at this face:
